It is best to be Catholic.  Mt 7:21-29 describes those who avoid The Only Church Jesus Founded.

Jesus said to His disciples:  “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of My Father in heaven.”  Only the obedient may  “enter the Kingdom of Heaven”.

Jesus describes Protestantism in every age:  “Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name?  Did we not drive out demons in your name?  Did we not do mighty deeds in your name?’  Then I will declare to them solemnly, ‘I never knew you. Depart from me, you evildoers.’

What could be clearer?  Jesus says that those who say “I believe.” and do not obey are “evildoers”.

The “will of My Father in Heaven” is made clear in all the instructions given by His Son.  What instruction did Jesus give most often?  He repeated His call to Catholic Communion 14 times!  “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”

Clearly, those who willfully refuse to do what is necessary to receive His Actual Body and Blood cannot be among those who do “the will of My Father in Heaven.”

“Everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock.  The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and buffeted the house.  But it did not collapse; it had been set solidly on rock.  (That reinforces, “. . thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church. .”)  And everyone who listens to these words of mine but does not act on them will be like a fool who built his house on sand. . .”

Jesus tells us the true nature of those who hear and do not obey.  They are “evildoers” and “fools”.
