The flaw at the heart of Protestantism is clear.

First of all, modern Protestants are far, far better Christians than the inventors of their denominations! Luther, Calvin, Cranmer, Hus, and others presided over the mass murders of opponents. We all recognize that “our Protestants” rarely participate in the wholesale murder of theological opponents.

Still, Jesus did say about The Only Church He Founded: “Verily, verily I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

That is such a strong statement that many in Protestantism simply cannot believe it. “It is impossible for Jesus to say about The Catholic Church that ‘the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.’ That means, The Catholic Church can never be in error on any official teaching or doctrine. I just can’t believe that!”

That “I can’t believe that!” is The flaw at the heart of Protestantism. “I can’t believe that The Catholic Church is always right on every official teaching and doctrine so I reject The Only Church Jesus Founded. In the process, I must reject the Perfection of Jesus.”

By doing so, a monumental mistake is made! Such disbelief is an attack on Jesus. At heart, the person who denies The Only Church Jesus Founded is saying: “Jesus was either wrong or untruthful to say about The Only Church He Founded ‘the gates of hell shall not prevail against it’.”

That leads us to the unavoidable conclusion that the flaw at the heart of Protestantism is the willful, institutionalized refusal to believe that Jesus is God.

If we love our neighbors, we want their immortal souls to live in joy, forever. We must encourage all to renounce “I” for the humility to believe that He Who Fulfilled The Prophecies was never wrong.

Belief that leads to obedience is the key to eternal life.
