“St. Peter, get out of my way! I’m coming in!”

An awful vanity beats in the Heart of Protestantism. It is the notion that “I can get into Heaven because I want to!” When Catholics hear the soul-destroying vanity, “St Peter, get out of my way! I’m coming in!”, we shudder in horror at the prideful presumptuousness of Protestantism!

The devil and his fallen angels could not force their way into Heaven! An intelligent inquiry: How could a mere human soul force God to let him or her in?

He Who Fulfilled the Prophecies was clear: there are “keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.” In Mt. 16: 18-20, Jesus said clearly, one time to one man: “Verily, verily I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven. Those whose sins you forgive on earth are forgiven in Heaven.”

Where there are keys, there must be locks! The locks are strong enough to keep a third of His most powerful spiritual beings, the fallen angels, out in the darkness. Can anyone not given “the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven” by Jesus force the gates?

What awful vanity would impel someone to lead others away from The Only Church Jesus Founded? Can that vanity differ from the same prideful presumption of Protestantism that led even angels to rebel and be expelled?

In every age, every sort of spiritual being attracted to the prideful presumption of Protestantism cries “St. Peter, get out of my way! I’m coming in!”

Whether man, woman or angel, “St. Peter, get out of my way! I’m coming in!” is utter foolishness. Better to heed His clear call to Catholic Communion, repeated EIGHTEEN TIMES, “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”
