Smart Catholics think small. Very, very, small.

Each of us came from a fertilized egg about the size of this period:  .  That . is how big we once were!   DNA molecules from both our parents, our four grandparents, eight great-grandparents, 16 great-grandparents, 32  great-great grandparents, and all those before were included among the millions of molecules in the tiny egg and even smaller sperm cell no bigger than .   Smart Catholics think small.   Very, very, small.

In the miracle of conception, angels select among the millions of molecules to build the new creation that is each of us.   Each of us is designed and constructed in micro-seconds, a living miracle.  The building blocks of  muscle, organs, bone and brain coalesce around our soul, the immortal spark that bursts into being at the moment of conception.  Each tiny miracle comes to be according to His Divine Blueprint,  His Creation Program.

Many of our tiniest neighbors are killed by deadly chemicals and devices that keep the soul from building its mind and body.  Vicious demons destroy all the life they can.

Those blessed to survive the demons live and grow.

Smart Catholics think small.  Very, very, small.  We ask:  “If God’s angels are tiny enough to rearrange molecules, how big is God?

Elijah tells us in  1 Kings 19: 11-12:  “Then word came to him to go out and stand there in the Lord’s presence; the Lord God himself would pass by. A wind there was, rude and boisterous, that shook the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. And after the wind, an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake.  And after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire, the whisper of a gentle breeze.”

God is not a mountain-smashing tornado, earthquake, or conflagration but He, “the whisper of a gentle breeze”,  makes them.   And, us!   Smart Catholics think small.  Very, very, small.
