Outside The Church, there is no truth.
Many are satisfied to say “A equals A.” and nod wisely. We may be blessed to realize that the first “A” and the second “A” are not equal in position. Therefore, “A does NOT equal A.”
We can’t even find that the simple concept of “one” makes sense. Everything based on “one” is always changing. “One dollar plus one dollar does not make two dollars.” By the time we’ve said the second “one dollar”, it’s value has changed on a hundred different exchanges.
Since change is so obvious, some say, “Only change is real.” Believers insist that The Creator is unchanging.
Amid the confusion, Catholic Fundamentalists find big and little truths. “No one needs any more tattoos.” is an example of a “little truth”.
A greater truth is found in The Prophecies. There were 60,000 towns and 60,000,000 people in The Roman Empire, Jesus was prophesied to be born of, at most, a few dozen or hundred or thousand people in The House of David. He was born in the predicted town at the time predicted by Daniel. He fulfilled more prophecies. He was “lifted up before men”. “They will look upon He Whom they pierced.” “His bones will be visible.” “No bone of His will be broken.”
The odds of that happening to The Prophesied Messiah are trillions to one.
That is truth.
From that, Catholics conclude, “Jesus repeated His clear call to Catholic Communion 14 times, ‘If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.’” We connect that with His great winnowing command: “You are My friends if you obey My commands.”
Catholics realize that He Who Fulfilled The Prophecies said to one man, one time, about One Church: “Verily, verily I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
Catholics connect the dots. We correctly conclude: Outside The Church, there is no truth.
