Catholics believe and obey.  Jesus separates His sheep with one sentence:  “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”   Protestants began arguing about that in John 6: 52:

“The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying,  “How can this man give us his Flesh to eat?”  These early Protestants could admit no higher reality than what they thought they knew.

“Jesus said to them,  ‘Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the Flesh of the Son of Man and drink his Blood, you do not have life within you.  Whoever eats my Flesh and drinks my Blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day.'”

In every age, Protestants disregard Jesus.  They would rather argue than obey:  “Whoever eats My Flesh and drinks My Blood has eternal life and I will raise him on the last day.”  Jesus ignores their complaints, and continues:

“For my Flesh is true food, and my Blood is true drink.  Whoever eats my Flesh and drinks my Blood remains in me and I in him.  Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on Me will have life because of Me.”

After repeating what Protestants of every generation refuse to believe, He added:

“This is the bread that came down from heaven.  Unlike your ancestors who ate and still died, whoever eats this bread will live forever.”

Did Jesus say that in secret?  No:  “These things He said while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum.”

In every generation, Protestants of every sort refuse to believe Jesus’ clear call to Catholic Communion:  “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”

Catholics believe and obey.  We pray that all will seek humble obedience to Him and to The Only Church He Founded and “have life”.
