The underlying Protestant flaw is clear.

The underlying Protestant flaw is clear.    All Protestants say “I believe in Jesus.”  Not one Protestant takes Jesus seriously enough to believe His clear words.   He said, one time, to one man:  “Verily, verily I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

Protestants run from that as people from a burning building!  “No!  No!  He didn’t mean that!  What Jesus really means is that I am a good person and I can get to Heaven my own way!”

Catholics are puzzled:  “You agree that Jesus is God.  God is always right.  You are saying that God was wrong when He said,  ‘Verily, verily I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’  You say you believe in Jesus, yet you avoid The Only Church He Founded.”

The Protestant excuses for rejecting The Only Church Jesus Founded include self-serving definitions of “verily“, “rock“, “Peter“, and “keys“.

Catholics soon realize:  “The foundation of Protestantism is the belief that Jesus was wrong, lying, or did not know how to speak clearly.”

Then, concerned Catholics ask:  “Why would someone say ‘I believe Jesus is God.’  and then say ‘I reject The Only Church Jesus Founded for one that I like better.’?”

The underlying Protestant flaw is clear.   Their soul-destroying mistake is:  “I love myself so much more than Jesus that I will give up access to ‘the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’

Catholics are blessed.  We understand the soul-destroying vanity that is expressed in “I love myself more than Jesus!”
