The stool of Protestantism has legs.

First:  “I am such a good person that I have a ‘personal relationship’ with Jesus.   I tell Him what I believe and He tells me, ‘You are such a good person that I can hardly wait for you to be with Me in Heaven!’  What a wonderful relationship that is!”

Second:  “I know that Jesus was wrong to decree:  ‘Verily, verily I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’  I am the only ‘key to the Kingdom of Heaven’ that I need!”

Third:  “I deal directly with God.  I do not need to be bothered seeking forgiveness from the only people on earth whom He ordained:  ‘Those whose sins you forgive on earth are forgiven in Heaven.’  Jesus knows that He is insulting me if He thinks I need any such absolution.

Sadly, such souls are so stained, shrunken, and shriveled with self-serving vanity that they cannot answer a simple question:

“You knowingly support a denomination that is too afraid of losing donors to clearly condemn both abortion and abortion-inducing birth control that kills billions of unborn children.   Your own denomination refuses to obey ‘Love your neighbor.’ and ‘Thou shall not kill.’, even concerning the unborn children of your own congregations and clergy.  How can anyone get to Heaven if they knowingly  and flagrantly disobey Jesus’ instructions?”

Their response:  “I am going to Heaven because I am a good person AND, I have a ‘personal relationship’ with Jesus!  It is wrong and hurtful of you to think I need to do more than what I want.”

The stool of Protestantism has legs.  They are not strong enough to support anything anything heavier than the bubbles of vanity atop them.
