Best to worship The Creator or the created?  Some worship The Creator.  Others worship created entities.  Catholics are blessed to worship The Creator enough to obey His Decree:

“. . I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven. . .”

Catholics worship The Creator in The Only Church He Created!

Since Catholics are are among His most obedient “friends”, we may be blessed to be forever among “You are My friends if you obey My commands.”

Wow!  Obeying His Decree lets us be a “friend” of God, forever!  Others prefer denominations created by some self-serving man with a Marketing Plan.

The disobedient worship worship themselves.  “I am a good person!  Jesus loves me!  I am going to Heaven!”

Where do they learn that such partial truths are as meaningful as respectful obedience?

They follow vain men.  “I do not want to have to get a real job.  I would rather bloviate about my own, self-serving notions about how to get to Heaven.  People who are needy for praise will give me money if I tell them ‘You are smart and good and going to Heaven.’  They will pay me if I praise them!”

They, and their followers, do not see that they are merely created entities who create entities that are even farther from The Creator!   They believe nothing is more important than their personal creations and believe:  “I will get to Heaven simply because I am me!”

Then, they worship the created entities they, created entities, have created!  The cloud of vanity they have created keeps them from seeing, much less obeying, Their Creator!

They do not see the need to obey God.  They do see the need to create a good feeling about themselves!
