Protestants seem better than their founders

Today, Protestants seem better than their founders.  When one reads detailed biographies of Luther, one finds that he was not a happy man.

His advice, “Sin boldly.” was certainly not in the mainstream of Catholic thought. Nor is it accepted by Lutherans, today. Insisting that “Law is bad.” and only “Faith is good.” separated Luther from the 1,500 years of Catholic thought that preceded him and from the Lutherans who came later.

Martin Luther was hired to provide “theological” reasons for greedy men to steal millions of acres of Church Property.  Lutherans no longer do that.

Today’s Lutherans are better than their founder!  Lutherans no longer believe many of Luther’s notions, like “Good works keep us from Heaven.” Nearly all Lutherans strive to do the “good works” that Luther reviled.   Protestants seem better than their founders.

History records that the founder of the Episcopalian/Anglican religion was a frequent adulterer. He was an ax-murdering serial killer who may have suffered from third-stage syphilis. Few Anglicans or Episcopalians today are such blatant serial adulterers.  None are ax-murderers. Protestants seem better than their founders.

Brigham Young had 55 wives. Today, nearly all Mormons have only one wife. None have fifty five!  Again, Protestants seem better than their founders.

John Calvin executed several dozen people after he took over Geneva.  Few Congregationalists or Presbyterians, both groups descending from Calvin, have executed anyone.  They are horrified at burning people alive, especially as Calvin once directed: “Burn him with green wood so he suffers more.”  Protestants seem better than their founders.

Biographies of those who founded the 45,000 Marketing Plan Denominations show that many taught bad things.  Now, Protestants seem better than their founders.

Hopefully, they Protestants will continue to grow closer to Catholic Teaching and help The Church bring an end to the billions of deaths to unborn babies caused by abortion.  Hopefully, they will not be too afraid of losing donations to clearly condemn, in written doctrine, abortion-inducing birth control chemicals and devices that kills the tiniest babies of all, no bigger than a grain of salt.
