The Protestant Challenge: “Stop quibbling!”

St. Paul, the great Catholic Bishop, issued The Protestant Challenge:  “Stop quibbling!”  His second letter to Timothy, 2: 8-15, makes that clear!

“If we have died with Him we shall also live with Him;  if we persevere we shall also reign with Him.
But if we deny Him He will deny us.  If we are unfaithful He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.”

Then, St. Paul issues The Protestant Challenge:  Stop quibbling!

“Remind people of these things and charge them before God to stop disputing about words.  This serves no useful purpose since it harms those who listen.”

Instead of endlessly arguing about self-serving ways to interpret Scripture, The Protestant Challenge:  “Stop quibbling!” is clear.

“Be eager to present yourself as acceptable to God, a workman who causes no disgrace, imparting the word of truth without deviation.”

Our job is to follow orders, like a good “workman”:

If we are a “workman who causes no disgrace, imparting the word of truth without deviation.”, we must connect The Protestant Challenge: “Stop quibbling!” to The Great Church-Founding Decree of Jesus:

“. . I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven. . .”

A “good workman” will not quibble to avoid The Only Church Jesus Founded.  We will have “died with Him”.  Then,  we may receive His Actual Body and Blood in Catholic Communion, obeying the Orders He gave to each obedient “workman”:   “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”

Only then may we be blessed to be among those who “also live with Him.”  We will have “life in” us the only way He specifically promised that we could!
