Catholics try to be good actors. We do not worship created entities. Others are distracted by science, the study of set decorations and stage props. They were programmed in place on The Big Movie’s rotating stages.
Some scientists study far-away stage props. They include galaxies, solar systems, and black holes. Others focus on whirling atoms and electrons. Some study plants and animals. There are lots of created entities to study!
Many actors only want to see The Big Movie’s set decorations and stage props. They were put here to give the actors free will.
Good actors choose to understand: The Big Movie’s set decorations were put here so that every actor must choose to obey or disobey The Director.
Catholics try to be good actors. We recognize The Power of The Big Movie’s Producer, Writer, and Director. Good actors follow His Directions during our days on the stage.
Bad actors do as they please. “We don’t listen to The Producer, Writer, and Director! We do what we want! We believe in Science!” Vanities are called “Science” to justify desires for gratification and funding.
At the end of their performance, every actor meets The Critic. Good actors get good reviews. Their bright, shining souls are admitted to the Eternal Cast Party In The Sky.
The stained, shrunken souls of bad actors are sent into endless, depressing darkness.
What do the “good actors” do? We strive to obey The Director’s Directions! They begin with two, simple sentences:
“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
Bad actors ignore that! They reject the only “keys to The Kingdom of Heaven” that The Director left on earth!
