The smarter Protestant ministers know what to do when someone in their congregation begins to take Jesus seriously. Sometimes, Protestants are blessed with enough respect for Jesus to believe His actual words. They read and re-read The Only Church-Founding Decree of Jesus:

“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

Some Protestants read The Church-Founding Decree of Jesus and are blessed to realize a great truth! “Jesus did not found any Protestant denomination. Our denominations exist because some ambitious man invented another Protestant Marketing Plan. He was smart enough to put it into Denominational Form. That’s all there is to the 45,000 Protestant Denominations. They are all Marketing Plans!”

The smarter Protestant ministers do not want those people around! “We don’t want them in our Bible Study Groups! We want to focus on being ‘warm, welcoming, and friendly’! We do not want people to realize that the real foundation of our belief is not Jesus, but our founder’s Marketing Plan!”

The smarter Protestant ministers do not argue with those drawn to obey Jesus. They encourage them to leave before they can interrupt cash flows from donors!

The smarter Protestant ministers know how to deal with those take Jesus too seriously. “Maybe you should become a Catholic. You will give up all your friends and support groups here. But, if you really believe that Jesus Founded The Catholic Church, you should be Catholic.”

That puts the ball in their court. It either shuts them up or it gets rid of them. In either case, it’s best for the denomination’s survival.

“Whew! What a relief to have that person out of here! Now, I can get back to business as usual.”
