Thinking about dreams leads us to think about God.

Our dreams seem real when we are having them. Some of our dreams are very complicated. Thinking about dreams leads us to think about God.

Our dreams are human versions of The Creation that our vastly greater God has created. Our ability to create dreams shows us that we “are made in the image of God.”

The Bible tells us that Creation will come to an end. Every time we wake up, our dreams come to an end. Each of our dreams is a “little world” that came into being and disappeared. The birth and death of our dreams show us, again, that we “are made in the image of God.”

God told us that Creation began with light and dark. Our dreams begin when our eyes are closed and we are “in the dark”. We see what is in our dreams, even though our eyes are closed. We often dream of things we have never seen.

Do we live in God’s Creation the same way that ephemeral beings appear in our dreams? There is a consistency in Creation. Prophets predicted the coming of God’s Son. The promised Messiah fulfilled hundreds of prophecies made about Him.

Facts about Him were written, copied, and passed through thousands of years. God’s Will was spoken into Being, just as Creation had been.

When Creation comes to an end, His obedient “friends” will be with Him forever in The New Jerusalem.

The only people living in The New Jerusalem will be those who chose to be among “You are My friends if you obey My commands.” while they were on earth.

They will have obeyed the clear call to Catholic Communion that Jesus repeated fourteen times: “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”

He was talking about “life” on earth, and forever.

Thinking about dreams leads us to think about God. We choose the blessings of Heaven, or being in an endless nightmare.
