How big is our soul? Is it as big as an electron? Is it the size of a photon? We know that souls were described in The Bible:

“And in the time of their visitation they will shine out, and as sparks through the stubble, they will run about.”

Those words were written almost 4,000 years ago.

Then, no one knew about electrons. Even the idea of atoms was only recorded by Leucippus of Miletus, and his student, Democritus of Abdera. That was almost 2,500 years ago.

Electrons were discovered in 1887, less than 150 years ago. Photons were discovered a few years later.

Photons hit our retina. They travel through millions of fibers in our two optic nerves. They go into our brain. They are stored there in the vast library that is our memory.

There, our brain relates them to other images that were also made by photons.

When we dream, our spirit or soul takes photons and puts them together in the dream factory in our brain. We see things that move and hear things that make noises in our dreams.

At night, we look into the sky and see stars. Sometimes, we see meteors. They streak through the sky.

They remind us of “sparks”, running through “stubble”. They give us an idea of our soul.

How big is a meteor? A meteor barely bigger than a grain of sand makes a visible trail of fire as it is consumed in a few seconds. It becomes a bright streak of light during its brief time in the atmosphere.

Each of us makes a bright streak of light during our brief life in the same atmosphere.

Our souls are different than meteors. Our souls go to judgment.

If we dream of obeying He Who made the meteors, we will reflect His truth. At Judgment, we will be among:

“You are My friends if you obey My commands.”
