Catholics believe that Jesus is Truth. Catholics believe that Jesus always told the Truth. Catholics believe that “in Him there is no darkness at all”.

Protestants do say “We believe in Jesus.” And, they do. But, Protestants do not believe in Jesus enough to find Him worthy of obedience.

+

Protestants do not believe that Jesus was worthy of their obedience when He Decreed The Only Church He Founded Into Being by simply saying:

“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

Catholics believe that we should respect truth enough to obey He Who is Truth. So, Catholics obey The Only Church-Founding Decree of Jesus.

+

The Protestant Contradiction is clear. “We believe in Jesus. But, we willfully choose to disobey many of His Teachings.” What causes that contradiction in the Protestant mind?

It is not Jesus whom Protestants disobey. What they disobey is the need to think, speak, and live The Truth that is Jesus.

There are 45,000 Protestant denominations. Each began with a Marketing Plan invented by an ambitious man. Each one appealed to a different Market Sector. Each Protestant Profit Center provided praise for people who believed in everything from polygamy to predestination.

At the heart of every Protestant denomination is: “I believe in Jesus, but . . .”

One of the “ventricles” in the heart of Protestantism: “You do not have to obey Jesus to get into Heaven. You just have to ‘believe’ in Jesus! He has to let us into Heaven.”

+

Catholics understand. It is not enough to merely “believe” in Jesus. Jesus told us of the only people whose souls could get into Heaven:

“You are My friends if you obey My commands.”

That “if” is the most important “if” in all Creation!
