Protestants never ask: “What makes me disobey Jesus?”

Protestants never ask: “What makes me disobey Jesus?”

Catholics do ask: “Why would anyone willfully disobey Jesus? Why would anyone ignore His Teaching: ‘You are My friends if you obey My commands.‘? Why would anyone choose to throw their own soul into hell by willfully disobeying Jesus?”

Jesus told us why. Mark 9:17. “’Teacher, I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit . . .'”

The Bible tells us what happened.

“When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth. . . ‘It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if You can do anything, take pity on us and help us.'”

What did Jesus do?

“When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, He rebuked the impure spirit. ‘You deaf and mute spirit,’ He said, ‘I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.’”

Jesus told us: the “impure spirit” was “deaf”. The “deaf” spirit kept the boy from hearing The Words of Jesus. It kept the boy from hearing or speaking Truth.

The same “deaf” spirit keeps Protestants from hearing The Words in Jesus’ Church-Founding Decree: “And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

The same sort of “impure spirit” keeps Protestants from hearing Jesus! They simply cannot “hear” The Words of Jesus in His Church-Founding Decree!

That “impure spirit” makes them “throw” themselves into the fire.

They endlessly repeat their illogical reasons for disobeying Jesus. They are “foaming at the mouth” to justify being “deaf” to The Words of Jesus.

Jesus told us how they could be cured in verse 29: “This kind can come out only by prayer.”

Catholics, Jesus is telling us what to do. We must pray to help our beloved neighbors be blessed to “hear” all The Words of Jesus.
