Catholics love logic! What is logic? Logic is conforming our thinking to God’s Thinking. First, God gave a Negative Command: “Do not eat the forbidden fruit!” Adam and Eve chose to not conform their minds to obeying God. Their lives became miserable. They had to work for a living!

Then, God gave more “Negative Commands”. All but one were of the “You shall not . . “ variety.

1. You shall have no gods before Me.
2. You shall not make for yourself any idol, nor bow down to it or worship it.
3. You shall not take the name of the Lord in vain.
4. You shall remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy.
5. Honor your father and mother.
6. Thou shall not kill.
7. Thou shall not commit adultery.
8. Thou shall not steal.
9. Thou shall not give false evidence against your neighbor.
10. You must not be envious of your neighbor’s goods. You shall not be envious of his house nor his wife, nor anything that belongs to your neighbor.

His additional “Negative Commandments” were not enough to get his beloved human creatures to conform our thinking to His!

+

So, God decided to take Human Form. He came to earth. He let Himself be Sacrificed to provide us with two “Positive Commands”.

“Love God. Love your neighbor.”

+

Then, God provided His Ongoing Miracle! He gave “the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven” to The Only Church He Founded!

Catholics are grateful that He said to one man, one time:

“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

Catholics are grateful that we are blessed to to think “logically”. Logic lets Catholics connect His Church-Founding Decree with His promise to the only people whom He would admit into Heaven:

“You are My friends if you obey My commands.”

Catholics love logic! Logic is how He eternally separates His obedient “friends” from His willfully disobedient enemies.

Wow! What a way to winnow!
