“we are made in the image of God”. What does that make us?

 

 

we are made in the image of God”.  What does that make us?  Each of us must be a miniature version of  “The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit“.

The “Father” in us tells us what to do.   The “Son” in each of us will obey, or not.  The “Holy Spirit” in each of us will guide us.  We, like God, are “three persons in one being”.

As we grow in understanding, we see that Jesus made a heartfelt plea to God.  Mark 14: 32-40:

We are each tested temptation.  We are like Jesus.  We ask God to let us avoid His Test of our obedience.

Jesus gave us an example of perfect obedience.  Catholics strive to follow His example.  We begin by obeying His Church-Founding Word:

“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
