Catholics see something incredible in Revelation.

St. John tells us what was revealed to him in Heaven in The Book of Revelation. Rev 5 contains: “Then I saw, standing between the throne with its four animals and the circle of elders, a Lamb that seemed to have been sacrificed. It had seven horns and it had seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits God has sent out over all the world.”

We see that the “eyes” of Jesus are “the seven spirits God has sent out over all the world.”

+

His “eyes” do more than “see”. His “eyes” may change what they see! His “eyes” do not merely “receive” light. His “eyes” send out life-changing light!

+

“In the beginning”, God spoke: “Let there be light.” His Word made all Creation.

Now, we see that some light does His Will! He is able to see and to change what He sees.

Our souls, spirits, and minds are “seen” by God. In the process of “seeing” them, His “seven spirits” may move us to obey Jesus. The “eyes” of Jesus see, and may change, our soul, spirit, and mind.

They may align us with Him.

+

God’s “seven spirits” may change what they see! His very act of “seeing” becomes an act of continual creation. His Seven Spirits see and change us.

Our concerns become deeper.

A prayer comes to mind: “Dear Jesus, see my soul. See my spirit. See my mind. Let the light of Your Seven Spirits guide me to better do your will. Move me to do good on earth. Let me obey so that I may be with you in Heaven, forever.”

+

As we consider the Power of His “Seven Spirits”, we want their power to make us better in every way. More than anything, ask that His “Seven Spirits” will move us to be forever among:

“You are My friends if you obey My commands.”

Catholics see that God’s glance is enough to make us better. If we let it!
