Pride closes many minds to the “commandments” of Jesus.

One difference between Catholic and Protestant clergy is clear.  In Mt. 5: 19, Jesus said:  “Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do so will be called least in The Kingdom of Heaven.”

Catholics know that Jesus gave us His “commandments” in two ways.  He gave us His “commandments” with His Word and with His Life.  Jesus set an example.  He lived in celibacy.  Catholic priests are held to that “commandment” of Jesus.

Catholic priests take Holy Vows of Poverty, Chastity, and Obedience.

Those Holy Vows came from The Catholic Church.  The Catholic Church requires Her priests to live in obedience to the “commandments” that Jesus taught by His Word and by His Example.

Catholics know that it is not enough to merely “believe” in Jesus.  We strive to obey His Word and His Examples!

Jesus told us the fate of those who refuse to obey His Words and His Examples.  They are “least in the Kingdom of Heaven.”  That does not mean that they “stay” in Heaven!

They may only be in Heaven long enough to be judged “least”.  Then, they may be thrown out.

Protestant clergy do not live in celibacyThe Protestant Establishment teaches others”  (their clergy) to not live in Celibacy.  They encourage clergy to disobey the “commandment” Jesus gave by His celibate life.

A foundation of Protestantism is its failure to obey the “commandment” Jesus made by His Holy example of Celibacy.   Protestants are proud of that failure!

~

Catholic priests obey Jesus with their lives!   Catholics are blessed!  We have the only Clergy in Christendom who are among these wonderfully obedient men:

“.  .  whoever obeys and teaches these commandments will be called greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”
