Jesus tells us why it is impossible for Protestants to be “happy”.

Catholics have been around for 2,000 years. We have all obeyed This Word of Jesus:

“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

Why was Peter chosen?

The Jerusalem Bible, Matthew 16: 13-20 explains.

~

Jesus asked His Disciples, “Who do you say that I am?”

Only Peter answered!

“You are The Christ, The Son of The Living God.”

What did Jesus say:

“Jesus replied: ‘Simon, son of Jonah, you are a happy man!'”

~

Neither The Father, nor The Son, nor The Holy Spirit had ever said “you are a happy man! to any other person before that!

Jesus went on to explain!

“Because it was not flesh and blood that revealed this to you but My Father in Heaven.”

It was God The Father Who revealed The Truth about Jesus to the first “happy” man.

To be “happy” we must be like Peter! We must listen to God! If we listen, we realize how important Peter is! He is “awareness of God”!

God had blessed Peter with Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Fortitude, Knowledge, Piety, and Fear of the Lord. Peter was “a happy man”!

That is why Jesus said only to Peter:

“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

~

Catholics live our lives with This Principle: “Every Word of Jesus Christ Is A Truth We Must Obey.”

Catholics know that the first “happy man” in History knew that Jesus is The Son of God!

We know that, too.

Like, Peter, Catholics may be “happy”.

Protestants do not respect Jesus enough to Obey Every Word of Jesus Christ. They cannot know what Peter knew!

No one can be “happy” until we strive to obey Every Word of Jesus!
