Millions of Catholics and Protestants say The Lord’s Prayer.
The First Sentence of The Lord’s Prayer is clear!
“Our Father Who Art In Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name.”
Catholics and Protestants agree! Those Words of God are Truth. God is in Heaven. We praise His “Hallowed Name”.
The difference between Catholics and Protestants and Obedience begins with The Second Sentence! “Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.”
~
Catholics and most Protestants agree on these things!
1. Jesus Christ is The Second Person of The Holy Trinity.
2. As Prophets predicted, He took Human Form. He was The Sacrificial Lamb of God upon The Cross.
3. He Ascended into Heaven. “He will come again in Glory to Judge the living and the dead.”
4. He is going to Judge each one of us!
~
Catholics understand that! We also see the need for Obedience!
5. We will be Judged on our Obedience to Every Word of Jesus Christ.
6. This is His Promised Judgment! “You are My friends if you obey My commands.”
7. Catholics correctly conclude: “Every Word of Jesus Christ Is A Truth we must obey.”
~
Catholics know! “Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven” applies to every thought, word, and deed. God’s Will cannot “be done” if we willfully disobey Any Word of God!
Every Word of Jesus Christ is a Direct Order to us from God.
~
Protestantism justifies not being obedient to Every Word of Jesus. That disobedience begins by willfully disobeying This Word of His!
“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
May we all be blessed to better obey the Words we say! “Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.”
