What was the seemingly “fatal wound” suffered by “the beast” in Rev 13: 3?

The Book of Revelation is mystery after mystery after mystery!  For 2,000 years, Catholics have pondered every word, phrase, and sentence.  A hard question!  What was the seemingly “fatal wound” suffered by “the beast” in Rev 13: 3?

“I saw that one of its heads seem to have suffered a fatal wound but that this deadly injury had healed and, after that the whole world had marveled and followed the beast.”

~

Catholics and truth-seeking Protestants consider this!  The “fatal wound” was inflicted by Constantine and The Catholic Church at The Council of Nicea in 325 AD!   300 years of vicious persecution, execution, confiscation, torture, and imprisonment from “the beast” could not stop The Catholic Church from providing Truth to the world!

The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit were understood and defined as Three Persons in One Being!

When That Truth was Formalized, it was clear that This Word of God The Son must be obeyed!

“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

That Truth was a seemingly “fatal wound” to “the beast”.   Out of swirling clouds of confusion, The Nature of God had finally been seen, understood, and defined in writing!   That Truth was the “fatal wound” to every untruthful person on earth.

They thought it would be “healed” by covering it up with more lies!

~

Worshipers of created entities looked only at their lies!  “They all said, Who can compare with the beast?  How could anybody defeat him?”

God’s Great Division had been formalized!  His obedient “sheep” are divided from willful goats!   God told us how!

“All the peoples of the world will worship it.”

“peoples of the world” continue to willfully and knowingly decide to disobey This Word of God!

“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

That has been clear since “the deadly wound” was inflicted upon “the beast” almost one thousand and seven hundred years ago at The Catholic Council of Nicea!

Tomorrow, we will look at the “second beast” from Rev 13:11.
