Protestants are blessed.   They see the reality of God and Heaven.  That blessing becomes a curse if they willfully ignore This Word of Jesus Christ.  It begins with Mt. 7:21.
~
“Jesus said to his disciples:  “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the Kingdom of heaven, .  .  .”
Protestants, and Catholics, should read that again and again!    While re-reading that, we should ask the most important question on earth!  “How do I make my immortal soul worthy toenter the Kingdom of Heaven”?
~
We see some truth:   “We believe in Jesus and The Bible!”  Then, many of us shut our eyes to the rest of Jesus’ sentence!
“but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.”
Jesus Christ is clear.  We must strive to obey Every Word of God!
~
Jesus makes it easy to see the danger of willful disobedience.  He predicts that Protestants will say three things at Judgment!  “Many will say to me on that day,  .  .  .”
1.  ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name?”
2.  ‘Did we not drive out demons in your name?’
3.  ‘Did we not do mighty deeds in your name?’
~
Jesus then tells us the answer He will give to those who willfully disobey His Words!

“Then I will declare to them solemnly,  ‘I never knew you.  Depart from me, you evildoers.'”

~
An “evildoer” is a person who chooses to do evil!   We are all “evildoers” when we disobey Words of God!

How can it be clearer?  How can anyone not be an “evildoer” by reading That Word of Jesus Christ and willfully disobeying This Word of Jesus Christ?

“And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

~
Catholics sin.  But, we have an eternal advantage.  We may receive Absolution from a Catholic priest.  They are the only people on earth to whom This Word of Jesus gives this Great Power:

“Those whose sins you forgive on earth are forgiven in Heaven.”

Is there a better reason to be Catholic?
