Catholics listen to Elijah. We get a glimpse of our soul.

Catholics suggest that our soul is a wisp of color. Why? Because we are “made in the image of God”. Elijah saw God! The Prophet told us what God looked like!

In 1 Kings, 19: 11-13, Elijah told us what God let him understand!

“Then he was told, ‘Go out and stand on the mountain before Yahweh.’ For at that moment Yahweh was going by. A mighty hurricane split the mountains and shattered the rocks before Yahweh.”

God showed Elijah His Power! “mountains” were “split”! “rocks” were “shattered”!

~

That showed The Power of God. It did not describe Him. That Passage only describes His Power. Elijah told us other things that God was not!

“But Yahweh was not in the hurricane. And after the hurricane, an earthquake. But Yahweh was not in the earthquake. 12.And after the earthquake, fire. But Yahweh was not in the fire.”

~

God is the Cause of Creation, not the effects! Elijah then tells us that he was allowed to see of the Cause of Creation!

“And after the fire, a light murmur”. That was God! “a light murmur”! That is important! God is a “sound”. He “whispers softly”.

What does He “murmur”?

He “murmurs” light into Being!

Most people see the word “light” in that Passage as an adjective! They think it describes the “sound”. Catholics know! “light” in that Passage is “light”! That living “light” is God!

Verse 13: “And when Elijah heard this, he covered his face with his cloak and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave. Then a voice came to him, which said, ‘What are you doing here, Elijah?'”

~

Catholics know what Elijah was “doing” there!

He was obeying directions from God!

~

For 2,000 years, Elijah-like obedience has let Catholics have “life in us“! We obey This Word of God: “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”

When He was on earth, God Spoke The Miracle of Transubstantiation into Being! He repeated that Teaching 14 times.

Catholics are like Elijah! We strive to obey Every Word of God! We do more than see His Light! We have it in us!
