Today’s Reading includes John 12:44-50. It gives us God’s IQ Test #7. We see if we live in “light” or “darkness”.

“Jesus declared publicly: ‘Whoever believes in me believes not only in me but also in the one who sent me, and whoever sees me sees the one who sent me.'”

Question #1: “Do I “believe” in Jesus? Answer: _____.

~

The Son tells us that “light” is not “darkness”!

“I came into the world as light, so that everyone who believes in me might not remain in darkness.” “might not” means that some who “believe” do choose to remain in “darkness”!

So, Jesus tells us which “believers” choose to remain “in darkness”.

“And if anyone hears my words and does not keep them, I do not condemn him, for I did not come to condemn the world but to save the world.”

Those who “see the light” notice! Jesus does not put “some of” between “my” and “words”!

Question # 2: “If I choose to ‘not keep’ all of His ‘words’, do I ‘condemn’ myself to ‘darkness’?” Answer: _____.

~

Clearly, if we willfully and knowingly disobey any of His Teachings, we live in “darkness”!

Question #3: “Is it enough to only ‘believe’ in Jesus without obeying His Words?” Answer: _____.

~

Jesus is clear! If we only “believe” we “remain in darkness.”

Catholics have “kept” This Word of Jesus Christ! “And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

~

How does Jesus tell us that believing is not enough?

“Whoever rejects me and does not accept my words has something to judge him: the word that I spoke, it will condemn him on the last day, because I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and speak. And I know that his commandment is eternal life. So what I say, I say as the Father told me.”

Question 4: “Is is not Jesus Christ, but my willful disobedience to Any Word of His that “condemns” my soul to ‘darkness’? Answer: _____.

~

Catholics pray this prayer! “Jesus, please let me go to Judgment and be forever among: ‘You are My friends if you obey My commands.'”
