God’s IQ Test. #27. “What three words do Protestants avoid?”

.
We learn that all Protestants avoid three words in Acts 15:7.  “After much debate had taken place, Peter got up and said to the Apostles and the presbyters, ‘My brothers, you are well aware that from early days God made his choice among you that through my mouth the Gentiles would hear the word of the Gospel and believe.'” (emphasis added on those three words).
There are dozens of translations of Bible Translations.   Nearly all include this exact quote from St. Peter:  “through my mouth . . .”

Catholics realize that St. Peter was Ordained with The Power to Speak God’s Word on Earth.   We know that God wanted to have His Teachings announced to His future followers on earth.  Therefore,  St. Peter’s Successors can also speak Catholic Doctrines into being.

~

That passage reinforces an earlier Word of Jesus Christ!   He appointed Peter as the Leader of The Only Church He Spoke Into Being with His Holy Word!  “And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

The “Apostles” in that gathering were The First Catholic Bishops.  The “Presybyters” were the First Catholic priests.  Not one of them disagreed with Peter’s Teaching.   They knew!  “It is Peter’s ‘mouth’ that speaks for God!”

For 2,000 years, St. Peter and his Successors have told us what God wants Canon Law to be.   Each Holy Father of The Church speaks The Will of God on Earth in God’s Proper Time.

The passage continues with more Words that God spoke through Peter’s “mouth”!

“And God, who knows the heart, bore witness by granting them the Holy Spirit just as he did us.  .  .  He made no distinction between us and them, for by faith he purified their hearts. . . we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, in the same way as they.”

What happened after those words were spoken through Peter’s “mouth”?

“The whole assembly fell silent, and they listened while Paul and Barnabas described the signs and wonders God had worked among the Gentiles through them.”

~

Catholics learn something more from that last Verse.   We know that St. Paul would argue with anyone!   But, he would not argue with Words from Peter’s “mouth” when he proclaimed what Catholic Teachings would be!

What more does anyone need to know about Peter’s Authority?
