Willful Protestantism: Children wanting their own way.

. “Infants” in every age follow those who make them feel good. Adults strive to obey Every Word of Jesus Christ.

Question 1: “Where does The Bible tell us to grow up and ‘Be Catholic’?”

Answer: “Today’s Reading is from Ephesians 4:7-16. ‘Brothers and sisters: Grace was given to each of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift.’

Question 2: “What ‘gifts’ did Christ give?”

Answer: “‘And he gave some as Apostles, others as prophets, others as evangelists, others as pastors and teachers, to equip the holy ones for the work of ministry, for building up the Body of Christ, . . .’

Question 3: “Does everyone on earth get one or more of those ‘gifts’?”

Answer: “Yes! Every parent, child, and neighbor has the same duty! We must grow ‘. . until we all attain to the unity of faith and knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood to the extent of the full stature of Christ, . .’

Question 4: “What is the goal of everyone who truly wants to get to Heaven?”

Answer: “To be a part of Christ’s Catholic ‘unity of faith’! Then, ‘we may no longer be infants, tossed by waves and swept along by every wind of teaching arising from human trickery, from their cunning in the interests of deceitful scheming.’

Question 5: “Is The Bible telling us that every ‘wind of teaching arising from human trickery’ tries to make us ‘infants’ and ‘blow us away’ from that ‘unity’?”

Answer. “Yes. Some would rather be ‘infants’ than recognize ‘deceitful scheming’!”

Question 6: “What should the goal of every ‘infant’ be?”

Answer: “To grow up! ‘Rather, living the truth in love, we should grow in every way into Him who is the head, Christ, from whom the whole Body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, with the proper functioning of each part, brings about the Body’s growth and builds itself up in love.’

Question 7: “Do we stop being ‘infants’ when we obey The Great Decree of Jesus Christ?”

Answer. “Those who ‘grow up’ will ‘live the truth in love’ all obey His Great Decree of of God’s Love for us! ‘And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys of The Kingdom of Heaven; . .’

May all ‘grow up’ enough to get His ‘keys to The Kingdom of Heaven’ for our immortal souls!”
