May all be blessed to Think Clearly about Who Jesus Is and “the keys” He died to give us.

“Today’s Reading includes Acts 16:1-10. That includes verse 6: ‘They traveled through the Phrygian and Galatian territory because they had been prevented by the Holy Spirit from preaching the message in the province of Asia.’

Question 1: Why did The Holy Spirit keep St. Paul ‘from preaching the message in the province of Asia’?”

Answer: “‘The Province of Asia’ included the lands between India and The Euphrates River. The Ten Northern Tribes had been taken there by the Assyrians, beginning in 721 BC. Over the following 500 years, those ‘Tribes’ had grown to form The Parthian Empire. The Holy Spirit would send other Catholic Bishops and priests to them.”

Question 2: “Why did God send St. Paul to Macedonia?”

Answer: “They were ready to hear The Word that would help lead Europe to be Catholic! ‘And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys of The Kingdom of Heaven.’

~

Question 3: “How does that connect to Today’s Reading from Psalms 100:1-2,3,5?”

Answer: “It was finally time for ‘All the earth to cry out to God with joy.’

~

Question 4: “Is that an Introduction to the next Reading from Col 3:1: ‘If then you were raised with Christ, seek what is above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.’?”

Answer: Yes. And, that connects us to Today’s Gospel Reading. Jn 15:18-21: ‘Jesus said to His disciples: ‘If the world hates you, realize that it hated Me first. If you belonged to the world, the world would love its own; but because you do not belong to the world, and I have chosen you out of the world, the world hates you.’

~

Question 5: “Why does ‘the world hate’ Catholics?”

Answer: “Worldly people hate anyone who is obedient enough to get into Heaven. ‘Remember The Word I spoke to you, ‘No slave is greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My Word, they will also keep yours.’

~

Question 6: “Why do worldly people persecute Catholics and Our Church?”

Answer: “Jesus told us! ‘And they will do all these things to you on account of My Name, because they do not know The One Who sent Me.’

May all be blessed to Think Clearly about Who God Is and that His Son will judge every soul on earth.”
