Jesus died in agony so that our sins could be forgiven. To be forgiven, we must forgive!

Question 1: “How can we tell if we meaningfully ‘Love God and our neighbors’?”
Answer: “Today’s Reading tells us! Matthew, 18:21-19:1 has This Word of Jesus Christ about a person who was forgiven a huge debt. Then, he put someone who owed him far less in jail for not paying what he was owed.”
~
Question 2: “Did Jesus tell us what will happen to us if God forgives our sins against Him and we do not forgive a neighbor’s sin against us?”
Answer: “‘His master summoned him and said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you your entire debt because you begged me to.
Should you not have had pity on your fellow servant, as I had pity on you?’”
~
Question 3: “Did Jesus tell us what would happen to someone whom God forgives but did not forgive?”
Answer: “That makes God angry! ‘Then in anger his master handed him over to the torturers until he should pay back the whole debt.’
Jesus was very clear about how important it is for us to forgive those who hurt us! ‘So will My Heavenly Father do to you, unless each of you forgives his brother from his heart.’”

Question 4: “What did Jesus do after He shared that frightening message?”
Answer: “‘When Jesus finished these words, he left Galilee and went to the district of Judea across the Jordan.’”
~
Question 5: “Why did He go to the ‘district of Judea across the Jordan River’?”
Answer: “Jesus wanted to be sure that all Twelve Tribes would be able to hear His Words directly before He went to Jerusalem and Sacrificed Himself in an agonizing way so that our sins could be forgiven.”
~
Question 6: “How can we know if our sins are forgiven by God?”
Answer: “Catholics are the only people on earth who respect His Power enough to get these ‘keys’ from Him for our immortal soul:
‘And I say unto you, thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’
One of those ‘keys’ is Absolution from a Catholic priest. They are the only people on earth who are given This Power by Jesus in John 20:23: ‘Those whose sins you forgive on earth are forgiven in Heaven.’
BUT! Even Catholics may not get into Heaven if we refuse to forgive our neighbors ‘from our heart’!”
