The Psalms tell us: “hardened hearts” keep souls from Heaven. #8.

May we all be blessed to hear This Word of God so that our soul may be forever in Heaven.

Question 1: “Do Psalms 95:1-2, 6-7, 8-9 tell us that ‘hardened hearts’ keep our souls from Heaven?”

Answer: “We cannot hear God’s Voice if we ‘harden our hearts’! ‘If today you hear His voice, harden not your hearts.’

The First Psalm Reading tells us that we must begin the conversation with God!: ‘Come, let us sing joyfully to The Lord; let us acclaim the rock of our salvation. Let us come into His presence with thanksgiving; let us joyfully sing psalms to Him.’

Our Catholic Response: ‘If today you hear His voice, harden not your hearts.’

~

Second Psalm Reading: ‘Come, let us bow down in worship; let us kneel before The Lord Who made us. For He is our God, and we are the people He shepherds, the flock He guides.’

Our Catholic Response: ‘If today you hear His voice, harden not your hearts.’

~

Third Psalm Reading: ‘Oh, that today you would hear His voice: ‘Harden not your hearts as at Meribah, as in the day of Massah in the desert, where your fathers tempted Me; they tested Me though they had seen My works.’

Our Catholic Response: ‘If today you hear His voice, harden not your hearts.’

Question 2: “What benefit do we get by not ‘hardening our heart’ to Any Word of God?”

Answer: “We hear This Word of Jesus in Romans 13:8-10! He gives us The One Command we must obey to get our soul into Heaven!

‘Brothers and sisters: Owe nothing to anyone, except to love one another; for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. The commandments, ‘You shall not commit adultery; you shall not kill; you shall not steal; you shall not covet, and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this saying, namely, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ Love does no evil to the neighbor; hence, love is the fulfillment of the law.’

~

Question 3: “What Christian does ‘not love their neighbor as themselves’?”

Answer: “No one can meaningfully ‘love their neighbors as themselves’ while supporting any group that refuses to uphold This Catholic Teaching:

‘Life must be protected from conception until natural death.’

~

May we all ask God to let us keep our ‘hearts from being so hardened’ that we do not obey His order to love all our neighbors. Then, we may have our own souls go to His Judgment and be among: “You are My friends if you obey My commands.”
