Catholics see the last link in the God > Abraham > Moses > Prophets > John the Baptist > Jesus > Catholic Church chain is The Mercy of Jesus.

Catholics understand that History leads to one conclusion:  Only The Mercy of Jesus can let our soul into Heaven.

Question 1: “Why do Catholics believe John the Baptist is another link in the God > Abraham > Moses > Prophets > John the Baptist > Jesus > Catholic Church chain?”

Answer:  “Jesus said so!  John 5:31-47 includes This Word of Jesus Christ, Himself!  ‘Jesus said to the Jews:  ‘If I testify on My own behalf, My testimony is not true.  But there is another who testifies on My behalf, and I know that the testimony he gives on My behalf is true.
You sent emissaries to John the Baptist, and he testified to the truth. I do not accept human testimony, but I say this so that you may be saved.  He was a burning and shining lamp, and for a while you were content to rejoice in his light.’

~

Question 2:  “Did Jesus share greater Truth than John the Baptist?”

Answer:  “The Words of Jesus are clear!  ‘But I have testimony greater than John’s.
The works that the Father gave me to accomplish, these works that I perform testify on my behalf that The Father has sent Me.’

~

Question 3:  “Did the Authority of The Son come from The Father?”

Answer:  “This Word of Jesus answers that important question!  ‘Moreover, the Father who sent Me has testified on My behalf.  But you have never heard His voice nor seen His form, and you do not have His Word remaining in you, because you do not believe in The One Whom He has sent.’

~

Question 4:  “Does Jesus give Catholics a way to understand what Willful Protestants have been doing for the past 4,000 years?”

Answer:  “‘Jesus tells us that Willful Protestants have always avoided God, His Prophets, John the Baptist, Him, and The Church He Spoke Into Being! ‘You search The Scriptures,
because you think you have eternal life through them;  even they testify on My behalf.
But you do not want to come to Me to have life.’

~

Question 5:  “How does being in His Catholic Church give us ‘life’?”

Answer:  “In the second half of John 6, and twice more at The Last Supper, Jesus repeated what can only be His Call to Catholic Communion!  ‘If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.’

~

Question 6:  “Does Jesus tell us what Willful Protestants do worship?”

Answer:  “Willful Protestants follow whoever and whatever makes them feel good!  Not Jesus!  ‘I do not accept human praise;  moreover, I know that you do not have the love of God in you.  I came in the name of My Father, but you do not accept Me;  (and this IS Willful Protestantism!) yet if another comes in his own name, you will accept him.’

~

Question 7:  “Does Jesus define Willful Protestantism as a ‘self-serving search for praise’ that has been going on for 4,000 years?”

Answer:  “Jesus tells the simple truth!  ‘How can you believe, when you accept praise from one another and do not seek the praise that comes from The Only God?’

~

Question 8:  “Will Jesus condemn them at Judgment for their willful disbelief?

“No!  ‘Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father:  the one who will accuse you is Moses, in whom you have placed your hope.  For if you had believed Moses,
you would have believed me, because he wrote about Me.  But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?’

~

Question 9:  “What ‘Word of Jesus’ does every Willful Protestant ignore?”

Answer:  “Every Willful Protestant denies The Power of Jesus to Speak One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church Into Being with His Only Church-Creating Word!

And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’

No Willful Protestant wants to believe That Word of Jesus Christ or admit He has The Power to give His Catholic priests the Authority to change bread and wine into His Body and Blood so we may obey His call to Catholic Communion and have ‘life’ in us.”

We may only be saved by The Mercy of Jesus.
