A hard question: Does Jesus want us to tell Protestantism’s vain, pseudo-intellectuals to be Catholic?

Mt 15:1-2, 10-14 identifies “blind guides”. They did not mention Jesus doing great miracles. Instead, they quibbled:
“Some Pharisees and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem and said, “Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They do not wash their hands when they eat a meal.” He summoned the crowd and said to them, “Hear and understand. It is not what enters one’s mouth that defiles the man; but what comes out of the mouth is what defiles one.” Then his disciples approached and said to him, “Do you know that the Pharisees took offense when they heard what you said?”

Jesus attacked the vain pretense that they were saved by their own thoughts and words! They “took offense” when He said they defiled (strong word!) themselves with such thoughts!

Jesus shows us how to identify vain pseudo-intellectuals! They “defile” themselves with a vain focus on insignificant details while ignoring the dead being raised, the sick being cured, and the multitudes fed. Their vanity will not let them believe that God is that much greater than they! Today, those mired in Protestantism’s self-righteousness wallow in mindless detail while ignoring His Body and Blood.

They worry more about what vegetables to eat than about millions of unborn babies murdered by abortionists.

Jesus told us their fate: “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted. Let them alone; they are blind guides of the blind. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.”

Is Jesus telling us that we are to “Let them alone;”? Or, are we to urge them to believe and obey He Whose most often-repeated command to receive Catholic Communion was clear: “If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.”?
