A Not Unusual Problem

Worldly attractions often distract us from The Loving Programmer and all that He has programmed. Sometimes, we have opportunities in the world that are very attractive. Sometimes, they involve opportunities for gain. Sometimes, risk is involved.

In business dealings, one always begins with people who are worthy of trust. Once the basic trustworthiness is established, one can go to the next step, of evaluating the proposal. The usual financial statements are pored over, and the risks/rewards evaluated.

“Will this separate me from, or draw me closer to, God?” is another consideration that must be taken into account. On the surface, it would appear that business and belief are incompatible. But, if one is a sincere Catholic, and believes that such involvement may help lead others to strengthen their own Christian beliefs, an aspect is uncovered that may make the expenditure of time and effort worthwhile.
