An incredible Catholic Coincidence!

This amazing coincidence connects pagan worshipers, Catholics, and the wonderful writings of J.R.R. Tolkein.  They began with “The Lord of The Rings”!  It is taken from a page by Gareth Harney @ Optimo Principi.

6) Soon afterwards Tolkien would begin creating his legendarium of Middle-earth with both “The Hobbit” and “The Lord of the Rings” revolving around the magical, golden and often-stolen One Ring that grants the wearer invisibility. Had Tolkein been inspired by the Silvianus ring?
7) We might fancifully conclude then that in the mid 4th century AD, Silvianus – a late-Roman man still clinging on to the old pagan gods, had his beloved Venus ring stolen from him by a Christian that he knew named Senicianus.  The pious thief then rededicated the pagan ring…

As we study this, what do we find?  An Incredible Catholic coincidence!  It connects pagans, Catholics, and J.R.R. Tolkein’s  great Catholic writings!

Another coincidence!   Anti-Catholics assume a Catholic stole the ring.  Catholics realize the ring was sold by the thief and ended up with the man “who lives in God”.   No Catholic would ever put “I live in God.” on stolen property!   No Catholic could ever think he could fool Jesus Christ!

Who would? A semi-Christian Arian! They denied that Jesus is The Second Person of The Holy Trinity and equal to The Father and The Holy Spirit in Power.
