“Woe” comes to all who put themselves “before God”.   Catholics are blessed to put God’s Words “before” our opinions.

Question 1:  “Does This Word of God in Ezekiel 34:1-11 about ‘the shepherds of Israel’ help us understand Profiteers of Protestantism for the past 2,600 years:   ‘The word of the Lord came to me:  Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, in these words prophesy to the shepherds:  ‘Thus says The Lord God: ‘Woe to the shepherds of Israel who have been pasturing themselves.’?”

Answer:  “Many bring the greatest ‘woe’ onto themselves while pretending to be good ‘shepherds’.”

Question 2:  “Which ‘shepherds’ do Catholics follow?”

Answer:  “We understand this simple fact:  Catholic priests and religious who take and obey Holy Vows of Poverty, Celibacy, and Obedience are not ‘pasturing themselves’.  Catholic priests and religious are God’s living answers to Ezekiel’s next question:  ‘Should not shepherds, instead, pasture sheep?’

Question 3:  “Should those who understand that be Catholic?”

Answer:  “There is no other place to find ‘shepherds’ who will not ‘feed off our milk, wear our wool, slaughter our fatlings, strengthen the weak, heal the sick, bind up the injured, bring back the strayed, seek the lost, let us be scattered, and become food for all the wild beasts.’

~

Question 4:  “What other ‘woe’ have Profiteers of Protestantism been bringing on themselves for 2,600 years?”

Answer:  “For 2,000 years, they have been ‘lording it over people and scattering them for lack of a shepherd’ into 50,000 denominations of contradiction and confusion by keeping donors from obeying The Church-Creating Word of Jesus to His First Catholic Pope:  ‘And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’

~

Question 5:  “What ‘woe’ does God promise He will bring to self-serving ‘shepherds’?”

Answer:  “‘ Thus says The Lord God:  ‘I swear I am coming against these shepherds.  I will claim My sheep from them and put a stop to their shepherding My sheep.’

~

Question 6:  “Is God telling us that His ‘sheep’ are Catholics?”

Answer:  “What else could He be saying?”

Today’s Catholic Reading from Ezekiel 34:1-11 lets us realize that Profiteers of Protestantism suffer eternal ‘woe’ for using donors as ‘food for their mouths’.   They suffer more ‘woe’ for keeping many from “the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven” that Jesus sacrificed Himself to give to His First Catholic Pope and His ‘shepherds’ and ‘sheep’.”
