It’s a little disconcerting for the other side to be going on and on about how very, very old the world is and be stuck with human remains that only go back a few thousand years. To be sure, some insist that they’ve found human artifacts that are several hundred thousand years old. Any artifacts older than five or ten thousand years are accompanied by the usual weasel words, like “may”, “are estimated”, “seem”, and “interpreted to be”. Some archeologist, after finding some marks on some old bones, recently concluded that “The marks might have been made by human tools over a million years ago.”

As with the global freezing/warming faddists, vague, fuzzy words are popular when replacing God’s Truth with Conventional Reality.
