Are Leftists Possessed by Demons? Their Own Vanity? Or, Both?

The idea that liberals are possessed by demons was the subject of an article appearing on Newsalert this morning. One could assume the author’s point was that leftists may be possessed by demons because nothing else could make them think so irrationally. Probably, only the loudest, angriest, and most confused liberals are so possessed. The others are only unable to think clearly about things because they have not been “called” into greater confusion.

For the past several days, the Daily Readings of The Catholic Church have emphasized the importance of being “called”. Today’s Scripture, from Hebrews, 9, 15, applies:

“Christ is mediator of a new covenant:
since a death has taken place
for deliverance from transgressions under the first covenant,
those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance.”

We see that only “those who are called” may get into Heaven. It’s a reasonable assumption that those who are not called cannot get into Heaven. Those who have given themselves to sin cannot be called. His calls to them may have been, are being, and will be, attempted. The phone rings and rings, and they won’t pick up.

He calls and calls. He gets no answer.

Did we get called? Did we respond with belief and obedience? Good. Now, we have to remember, and never forget the fifth word: “those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance”. Being called is not an automatic “in”. Receiving the call merely puts us in a position from which we may be able to get into Heaven. To be saved, we must “endure to the end.”

Easier said than done.
