Taoists have summed up the cosmos with forces of life and death, existence and annihilation, with ying and yang. They have a clever symbol, finless fish in black and white, chasing each other through eternity.

It is not enough. The hopelessness is overwhelming. The Mohammedans symbolize their beliefs in an unlikely star centered in the dark part of the moon.

God’s depth and power is better seen in the written Word. In it, we see the prophets who, at great personal pain and risk, predicted the coming of Christ. Those who believe in, and obey, He Who fulfilled those ancient prophecies are saved. Their (hopefully, our) souls may rise to live in His eternal Kingdom of joy.

Catholic Fundamentalism bases its entire structure on the mechanics of the situation. It’s estimated that there are 300 prophecies that may be seen to refer to the coming of Christ and His Church.

That is enough.
