Attacks on The Church Have an End in Mind

It is obvious that The Loving Programmer sent The Beloved Program, Jesus Christ to earth so that an opportunity to be saved could be provided to His cherished human programs, you, me, and all our friends and neighbors.

So that our individual programs could be cleaned and purified, He gave us the Sacrament of Confession. That allows us to confess our sins and be forgiven, reconciled with The Loving Program.

The Biblical authority is clear:

Matthew 16:19 “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in Heaven.”

So, those connected with Christ by unbroken generations of Holy Orders and laid on hands have the power to forgive sins. St. Augustine sums it up:

“The Church has received the keys of the Kingdom of heaven so that, in Her, sins may be forgiven through Christ’s blood and the Holy Spirit’s action. In this Church, the soul dead through sin comes back to life in order to live with Christ, whose grace has saved us.”

Those working for the Apostate Angel know all this. One of their continual, and most lunatic, desires is to achieve such a total corruption of The Church that She and Her priests will give their blessings to sin.

The Church has stood firmly for good all these centuries. We can do little of more importance than praying that She be given the strength to continue resisting the evil spirits that continually besiege Her.
