Public educators, as all who depend on public money, resist efficiencies. Their goal is to get more people paying union dues. That goal cannot be met by introducing efficiency into the system.
By example, each teacher tells students: “I have a soft, secure job. I work six hours a day, six months a year for twenty years. With my pensions and benefits, I make more than people who work eight hours a day, eleven months a year for forty or fifty years. If you feel that there’s nothing wrong with taking money from your neighbors, you may choose to take advantage of our system, too. You just have to spend several years and tens of thousand of dollars being “certified” so that we know you can be counted on to abuse your neighbors for personal gain.”
Those willing to prosper by picking their neighbors’ pockets often do well, in the short run. Unfortunately, it’s hard to love your neighbor while you rely on political forces to pick their pockets. Trying to justify impoverishing your neighbors for one’s own personal enrichments leads to lying. Lying causes to all sorts of destruction to descend upon those who tell such lies. Ultimately, the soul is put at risk and may be lost.
Education, at every level, is becoming increasingly hurtful to the formerly Christian countries. High paying, easy jobs are demanded by well-organized voters desperate to avoid the rigors of the private sector. Those jobs are provided by political leaders who make lucrative careers for themselves by pandering to the lazy. It’s not a healthy process.
While factory and office workers are sent reeling from job to job by new kinds of automation, efficient innovations, and procedures, public sectorites continue to take their money and give it to themselves. Can this be fixed? There are glimmers of hope. The Governor of Texas insists that their State can provide Bachelor’s Degrees for $10,000.00.
Ultimately, it is the wealthiest governments that survive. They have the lowest costs. They take over countries that misuse their financial resources. Nations end up being destroyed by the wasteful bureaus that drain the country so that its armed forces can no longer provide adequate defense.
Aggressive foreign nations have always bribed their competitors’ political leaders to keep them uncompetitive. That’s one way that God is punishing the formerly Christian nations. He is letting them be taken over by hateful, greedy people who take bribes from foreigners to make their nations weaker in every possible way. He is showing us the unavoidable results of our sins, especially abortion and birth control.
