The problem is not that people don’t believe in God. The problem is that they do not define Him well enough to believe He’s real. Various emperors and Caesars, after all, were said to be “God”. So were lots of different animals. While most Christians accept a definition of God like “Unmoved Mover”, its unnecessarily hard for we who move electrons to relate to languages from the Iron Age.

Catholic Fundamentalists, in an age where everyone moves electrons, define God as: “The Programmer of Programmers.” By this, we mean that God can program particles and compile them into a universe. He can also program spirits with free will. Some choose to serve Him, some do not.

We immediately see that He, as “Programmer of Programmers”, has sub-Programmers working for him. One sub-Programmer, for instance, may be responsible for programming “sand”. He works with the sub-Programmers of coastlines, waves, and storms.

How many sub-Programmers does The Programmer have? The answer is in the old joke, “He has many as He wants.”

He has also programmed us with the ability to do programming. We use human-written programs every day, rarely thinking that they are programs programmed by beings who were programmed at the moment of conception.

Catholic Fundamentalists define human beings as “Replicating programs with free will”. We, like the spirits, either choose to serve The Programmer or the virus.
