is how Catholic Fundamentalists sometimes refer to Jesus Christ. As mentioned earlier this month, one reason we conceive of Him thusly is Col 1, 15-20:
“Christ Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For in him were created all things in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers;
all things were created through him and for him. Catholic Fundamentalism holds that this phrase may be understood moe easily by seeing it as describing what The Loving Programmer did first, He created/wrote The Beloved, Living Program. The Program was all inclusive. Every part of The Beloved, Living Program was programmed to work together so that love would have a chance to come into every human life. Just so did The Beloved, Living Program take human form, and come among us as Jesus Christ, Living Son of the Living God.
“He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. He is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he himself might be preeminent. For in him all the fullness was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile all things for him, making peace by the blood of his cross through him, whether those on earth or those in heaven.” The Beloved Program is before all things, since He is the personification of all the programmed entities. Most importantly, He is in charge of His Body on earth, The Roman Catholic Church. He is the beginning of time, space, and all therein. He is also the first program to be perfectly restored after erasure.
When He was erased, the entire Creation Program was shaken, which was symbolized by the earthquake at the Crucifixion. It kept running for three days by sheer momentum, as it was programmed to do. When He, The Beloved Program was restored, the Creation Program went back into operation, with The Most Important Upgrade of All: the means to physically download Love was provided in the Eucharist for every human program on earth, regardless of tribal ancestry. It must be remembered that most of the programs are largely self-running and self-regulating. His greatest concerns seem to be with us humans, His beloved free-will programs.
“The Fulness”, which was pleased to dwell within Him and program all things to work for Him, made it possible for every human being to choose to believe, obey, and physically download in the Transubstantiated wafer, the total, living truth He both represents and is.
An additional note: It takes all the sentences in italics, from Colossians, to actually describe Who Jesus Christ is. Catholic Fundamentalism’s description has at least made it easier for this writer to understand. Hopefully, others may benefit.
