The best way to solve the perennial problem of Haiti

The best way to solve the perennial problem of Haiti

would be to simply give it to another another nation. We could give it to the Dominican Republic, its next-door neighbor. Better yet, we could give Haiti to Venezuela. Even better, transfer it to Cuba. Both Cuba and Venezuela have leaders who endlessly claim to be making things better for people. It would be nice to give them a chance to demonstrate their abilities to do so.

Haiti is one of the few places on earth that socialists could not hurt and might actually improve. It might, at the very least, keep them quiet.
