Catholic Church Beliefs

Many are drawn to The Church because of Her constant stand on important issues. There has been no wavering on any meaningful doctrine.

The Church has consistently upheld beliefs contained in, and based on, The Apostle’s Creed:

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
the Maker of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:

Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost,
born of the virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;

He descended into hell.

The third day He arose again from the dead;

He ascended into heaven,
and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Ghost;
the holy catholic church;
the communion of saints;
the forgiveness of sins;
the resurrection of the body;
and the life everlasting.

Amen.

As we read through that, we see no changes since the earliest days of The Church. The consistency found therein, from generation to generation to generation, is more than remarkable. It is miraculous.

Judgment Day

We have learned that, at Judgment, wheat will be separated from weeds, sheep from goats, and the saved from the unsaved. If we memorize The Apostle’s Creed, and use it to guide our lives, we increase our chances of living in joy, forever. Eternal bliss is, ultimately, the most valued consistency of all. Those who seek it earnestly are drawn to the closest thing to it on earth.
