Catholics are the people on stage who best let Jesus direct our “acts”.

This free book is a simple reason to be Catholic. The end of the short column explains why our books are anonymous.

~

Question 1: “Why are Catholics ‘The Stars of God’s Show’ while we act our parts on His earthly stage?”

Answer: “Only Catholics follow the same ‘Director’ of our ‘acts’ that The First Catholic Pope and Bishops obeyed when they performed their roles in God’s Book of Acts

~

Question 2: “How do Catholics play their role on earth?”

Answer: “We begin by obeying The Holy Direction of Jesus that Spoke His One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church Into Being on Stage:

‘And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.’

~

Question 2: “Why do Catholics obey That Word of Jesus, The Director?”

Answer: “We let God’s Holy Spirit lead us to follow ‘The Director’ of The Show that ‘The Producer’ Spoke Into Being at the beginning, 6 trillion light years ago. That’s when He first said ‘Let there be light.’ on ‘The Day That Had No Yesterday’.”

~

Question 3: “Did Jesus, ‘The Director’, choose The First Catholic Pope and Bishops who would ‘direct’ His Show on earth?”

Answer: “The First Catholic Pope and Bishops acted their parts in The Acts of The Apostles so perfectly that their earthly ‘critics’ sent their eternal souls directly to The Producer’s ‘Cast Party’ in Heaven!”

~

Question 4: “Who was The First Catholic Bishop to play his part that perfectly?”

Answer: “Today’s Reading from 6:8-15 in The Acts of The Apostles tells us that Bishop Stephen was the first to perform His ‘final act’ with The Perfection that only a Catholic Saint could have! ‘Stephen, filled with grace and power, was working great wonders and signs among the people. Certain members of the so-called Synagogue of Freedmen, Cyreneans, and Alexandrians, and people from Cilicia and Asia, came forward and debated with Stephen, but they could not withstand the wisdom and the Spirit with which he spoke.’

~

Question 5: “What did their jealousy drive them to do?”

Answer: “They hired ‘cheap actors’ from the same ‘rent-a-mob’ who had recently sold their souls to demand that Jesus be Crucified and the murderer, Barabbas, be released. ‘They stirred up the people, the elders, and the scribes, accosted him, seized him, and brought him before the Sanhedrin.’

~

Question 6: “What did those highly paid ‘actors’ in The Book of Acts do?”

Answer: “‘They presented false witnesses who testified: ‘This man never stops saying things against this holy place and the law. For we have heard him claim that Jesus the Nazorean will destroy this place and change the customs that Moses handed down to us.’

~

Question 7: “What did the higher-paid actors do?”

Answer: “‘All those who sat in the Sanhedrin looked intently at him and saw that his face was like the face of an angel.’

~

Question 8: “What gave Bishop Stephen the strength to withstand public condemnation from the most powerful people in Jerusalem?”

Answer: “Today’s Psalm 119:23-30 includes ‘Though princes meet and talk against me, Your servant (every good Catholic actor!) meditates on Your statutes. Yes, Your decrees are my delight, they are my counselors’ and ‘Remove from me the way of falsehood, and favor me with Your law. The way of truth I have chosen; I have set Your ordinances before me.'”

~

Question 9: “Why do good Catholic actors follow The Director’s directions‘?”

Answer: “We know Today’s Psalm Response that will become clear to every ‘actor’ when we meet The Critic at our Final Judgment: ‘Blessed are they who follow the law of The Lord.’

~

Question 10: “Did Jesus tell every Catholic ‘actor’ how we could ‘accomplish the Works of God’ at the end of Today’s Gospel Reading from 1 John 6:22-29?”

Answer: “‘Do not work for food that perishes but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. (Only Catholics obey The Call to Catholic Communion that Jesus repeated 14 times: ‘If you do not eat My Body and drink My Blood you do not have life in you.’For on Him The Father, God, has set His seal.’

~

Question 11: “Did Jesus tell every ‘actor’ how to live?”

Answer: “‘So they said to him, ‘What can we do to accomplish the works of God?’
Jesus answered and said to them, ‘This is the work of God, that you believe in The One He sent.’

~

Today’s Lesson is clear: Catholics ‘believe’ in The Director meaningfully enough to follow His ‘directions’! Tomorrow’s lesson gives us Bishop Stephen’s example of perfect ‘obedience’ to The Director of his ‘acts of The Apostles’.

catholicfundamentalism.com is “Simple Reasons to be Catholic.” Many enjoy our free columns, writings, and books.

The best book of recent Centuries is “The Diary of St. Faustina”. It lets each of us realize how much Jesus loves our soul. It is free at this site:

Our free books are so much less worthy than “The Diary of St. Faustina” that the author is embarrassed to put his name on them. This anonymous Free Book does not compare with St. Faustina’s Diary, but some find it interesting:
