Catholics battle Babylon on two fronts.

Catholics battle Babylon on two fronts.  One Babylon is within us.  Another, without.

The “Babylon within” is our own battle with personal demons.   When enough people have fallen in their own battle with sin, their nations are automatically destroyed by the “Babylon without”.

Nations whose people are weakened by sin are forced to war.  God picks the winner of every war.  Those who have fallen the farthest always lose.

God’s Chosen People ignored God’s Command to “let the land rest” for one year out of fifty.   Their individual “Babylon within” kept them too focused on earthly concerns to obey God.   When enough Jews lost their individual war with the “Babylon within”, their nation was enslaved by the “Babylon without”.

The Jews lost because they had fallen farthest from obedience.  Victorious Babylonians never fell from their base desires to gain by killing.

The Greek Orthodox had fallen far from obedience to The Only Church Jesus Founded.  They lost their lands and peoples to Moslems who never fell from their desires to gain by killing.

Catholic France had fallen far from obedience to The Catholic Church.  It fell to bloodthirsty revolutionaries who never fell from their desires to gain by killing.

The North beat the South because the South had fallen farthest, having replaced “love your neighbor” with institutionalized slavery.

Russia had fallen far from The Only Church Jesus Founded.  It was destroyed by Communists who never fell from their desire to gain by killing.

Germany fell far from Catholicism into Lutheranism and, then, into Nazism.  Much of Germany was taken by Communists, who never fell from their desire to gain by killing.

In every age, in every land, nations who have fallen the farthest from God and His Church are destroyed by those who never fell from their desires to gain by killing.  Catholics battle Babylon on two fronts.

If we do not fall into sin, we will not lose our souls or our nations.
