Catholics are blessed with consistency.

Catholics are blessed with consistency.  Catholicism began with the clear words of Jesus about The Only Church He Founded:

“Verily, verily I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

Those who say “I believe in Jesus but I do not like The Only Church He Founded.” are living in a contradiction:  “I know more than God.”  It is an error similar to:  “I love my spouse even though I am unfaithful.”

Our minds are “made in the image of God”.  God is truth.  God is unchanging.  Catholics understand:  “God is consistent.  So is His Church.  In 2,000 years, The Catholic Church has not changed a single teaching in The Faith Handed Down From The Apostles.”

Protestantism renounces God by embracing inconsistency.  “Yes, Jesus did fulfill the Prophecies.  He is The Prophesied Messiah.  Still, I choose to avoid what Jesus said:  “Verily, verily I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”

Protestantism begins with the belief that Jesus was wrong about that.  They soon fall farther, believing that He was wrong about any teaching that keeps them from doing as they please.  So, 45,000 ambitious men invented Marketing Plans that appeal to different groups of donors.

The Protestant Marketing Plans appeal to people who prefer inconsistencies.  “I believe in divorce, even though Jesus said ‘let no man put asunder’ the marriage contract.  I believe that it is all right to use abortion-inducing birth control.”  Jesus did say ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’, but He was wrong to think that should apply to my own, unborn children.”

Catholics are blessed with consistency.  We stray, but we return.  Those who stray but do not return have replaced God with Self.
