For a few moments, both Moses and Peter rode on Protestant Merry-go-Rounds. In Deuteronomy 34:1-12, God took Moses to Mt. Nebo and let him “see the land He had sworn to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob”. God did not allow Moses to enter because he had disobeyed God by “striking the rock” with his staff in Numbers 20, rather than “ordering” water to come forth.
Mt 16:22 reports that Peter, like Moses, briefly rode the same Protestant Merry-go-Round. “Peter took Jesus aside and began to rebuke Him”, saying that His Prophecy about His coming death “should never happen to You.”
Catholics realize that Moses and Peter were, for a few moments, riding on Protestant Merry-go-Rounds!
But, as we see in Matthew 17, Luke 9:30-36, and Mark 9:2, both Moses and Elijah appeared to Peter, James, and John with God in The Transfiguration. Having once been “somewhat Protestant” did not keep Moses from being with The Father in Heaven.
We consider! Many Protestant ministers help people. They save many souls from falling farther from God by keeping riders on their somewhat Catholic “Merry-go-Rounds”.
Their Merry-go-Rounds disappear. Competing Protestant ministers, often in their own families, develop Marketing Plans for Merry-go-Rounds of their own. Rev. Robert Schuller’s son was originally chosen to lead his Crystal Cathedral. The “lack of shared vision” led Schuller to appoint his daughter to replace him. His grandson leased space in the smaller St. Callistus Catholic Church in a nearby city for his services.
All the Protestant Merry-go-Rounds continue to revolve!
Rev. Schuller’s “Crystal Cathedral” was purchased by the Diocese of Orange in California and renamed “Christ Cathedral”. It is now used for a Catholic Cathedral and offices.
Other Merry-go-Rounds: Unending expenses from tax-addicted bureaucrats and public educators lead many to sell their souls for earthly benefits and ride on Government Merry-go-Rounds. They help the devil keep families from having as many tax deductions as we could.
One hidden blessing of Protestantism: Most Protestant ministers do provide Faith that let some understand the Power of Christ’s only Church-Creating Word to His First Catholic Pope. He Who Fulfilled over 300 Prophecies did Decree: “And I say unto you thou art Peter and on this rock I build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I give you the keys to The Kingdom of Heaven.”
